Trigger point pain "waxes and wanes", which means it comes and goes. I have some severe trigger points in my neck and shoulders that flair-up at least once or twice a month...which is too much for me. Trigger point pain, when I get it in my shoulders and neck, makes it very hard for me to turn my head. Very painful, as many of you know.
Because trigger points are so painful to be almost debilitating, I have been searching and trying different home remedies to try to decrease these painful flair-ups. I have found something that works, but it is kind of drastic and if you don't like needles, this may not be for you. I have been stuck with so many needles over the years re: joint and back injections, that this tiny needle that I use for this home remedy doesn't bother me at all.
The next time you have a trigger point pain flair-up, find yourself a small, sterile needle. I have used the needles that my dad uses to give himself his insulin shots...a very small needle. You also need an antiseptic cleanser for the skin such as alcohol. Take a cotton ball and it to wipe the area you are going to insert the needle. Then take your needle and insert into the center of the trigger point. Do not go very deep. You only need toinsert the needle into the trigger at a depth of less than 0.5mm.
Somehow, When I introduce a needle poke in my trigger point, the pain calms down and at times, even goes completely away! I think this happens because the pain you are feeling is from spasming of the muscles. Introducing the needle seems to interrupt the spasming, causing it to either calm down or stop.
Introducing needles into your trigger points is not for the faint at heart. If you find that you faint at the site of needles or blood then you shouldn't perform this home remedy. But, for those who have tried everything and need something that really works, then try this needle remedy and then let me know how it worked for you.

I would also like to experience this since I've been feeling a lot of joint pain for the past 2 years. I am actually taking joint support but I still want to experience this kind of treatment.
